Situated in Sunderland, The Hastings Hill Pub and Restaurant has been transformed from a typical public house into a contemporary 200-seat family-run bar and bistro.
Hastings Hill, what the pub is named after, is a housing estate in Sunderland built in the late 1960's. The estate stands close to Hasting Hill, where a burial ground estimated to be from 2,000BC was excavated. Several cists were discovered during the excavation, with one containing the remains of a man, a flint knife and an earthenware food vessel. Drawing in 5th May 1986
