This is a unique VAUX Pub Original plan and architectural drawings, 23rd April 1986.
After 2016 the Pub closed and as of 2018 it has been the Ranch Restaurant. In 1852, following an inquiry into a major explosion at Seaham Colliery, the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineering was created. The same Mill Inn was also the scene of a siege during the Parliamentary Election campaign of 1874, when the landlord held off an 'angry mob' for two hours.
