This is a unique VAUX Pub Original plan and architectural drawings, signed by Frank Nicholson and Mike Berriman. Plans drawn up 11th June 1986. Pictures of the pub included.
The Rise Carr Hotel was situated on Whessoe Road and built in the late 1860s by eccentric stonemason Robert Borrowdale who decorated it with distinctive but grotesque carved heads. It closed in 2002 following an incident involving the licensee and was demolished in 2005. Flats have been built on the site and all that remains is an old outhouse.
